Drying cylinder rotary joint is a special rotary joint, which is mainly used in paper machine drying cylinder and other steam heating equipment. It can adapt to the rotating equipment with low coaxiality, and has the functions of automatic centering and automatic compensation. It is easy to maintain and does not require regular maintenance.
The working principle of the drying cylinder rotary joint is to use the saturated steam introduced by the steam joint to condense inside the drying cylinder. The released heat makes the temperature of the drying cylinder rise, thereby heating the paper sheet wrapped on the surface of the roller shell. The heat is transferred to the paper during the contact between the paper and the surface of the drying cylinder. After the steam releases heat and condenses, a large amount of condensed water is generated. This condensed water adheres to the inner surface of the drying cylinder due to the centrifugal force of the rotation of the drying cylinder. Under the condition of high angular velocity, a water ring is formed, which hinders the transfer of heat to the surface of the drying cylinder. Therefore, a siphon is required to discharge the condensed water in time.
Simple structure, controllable size, stable sealing performance, easy maintenance, and it is also the most widely used one among similar products.
Its structure: the outer tube body is directly connected to the roller or drying cylinder and is the main rotating part; the finely processed spherical surface, bottom cover and impregnated carbon graphite spherical sealing ring together form a reliable dynamic sealing friction pair, the spherical sealing ring slides in the annular space inside its shell, and the close cooperation between the oil-free bearing and the shell makes the rotation freely supported today, so the installation accuracy is not high; after the spherical sealing ring is worn, it can be compensated at any time with the help of the pre-pressure of the spring. During compensation, the shell moves slowly backwards, and the wear degree of the seal can be observed through the engraved lines on the outer tube body; when steam, oil, or other media flows through the spherical sealing ring and the oil-free bearing, a very thin liquid film is formed to provide sealing and lubrication, thereby reducing friction and wear and extending the service life.
