The vacuum press roll of a paper machine is a roll used to improve dehydration efficiency and paper sheet performance. It plays an important role in the press section of a paper machine.
When wet paper is dehydrated by vacuum pressing, the vacuum suction does not directly act on the paper because the paper is
tightly pressed by the upper roller when the paper passes through the pressing area. The wet paper is still dehydrated under
gravity, so the vacuum dehydration power is the same as that of ordinary pressing. The vacuum suction mainly absorbs
the water gathered in the front side of the pressing area and keeps the felt well absorbent.
1.Roller body: The main part of the vacuum press roll, usually made of high-strength aluminum-copper alloy, can withstand high line pressure.
2.Vacuum box: Located inside the roller body of the vacuum press roll, it is used to form a vacuum environment to absorb moisture from the pulp.
3.Sealing device: Ensure the sealing performance between the vacuum box and the roller body to prevent outside air from entering the vacuum system.
4.Transmission parts: Such as bearings, bearing seats, etc., used to drive the rotation of the vacuum press roll.
1.Water absorption holes and blind holes: Water absorption holes and blind holes are evenly distributed on the rubber layer, which helps to evenly distribute the pressure, reduce the wear of the blanket, and increase the pressure of the pressing line.
2.Multi-chamber vacuum box: Some vacuum press rolls adopt a multi-chamber vacuum box design, such as divided into the first vacuum chamber, the second vacuum chamber and the third vacuum chamber, to improve the dehydration effect.
3.Sealing strip: The rotating roller surface and the fixed vacuum chamber are sealed by a wear-resistant sealing strip to ensure a stable and safe working state.
